The Hardys defeated Team 3D on Sunday night to retain both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships in the “One Final Table” match at Bound for Glory.
Following the bout, Bully Ray and D-Von appeared to signal their retirement from in-ring competition, symbolically taking off their wrestling boots in the center of the ring.
The rules of the match required one team to put both members of the opposing team through tables to win. Team 3D took an early 1-0 lead after putting Jeff Hardy through a table with their 3D finisher.
Matt Hardy later crashed through a table on a failed elbow drop attempt, but commentary noted it did not count as an elimination as he was not put through by an opponent.
The Hardys evened the score when Jeff Hardy performed a senton from the top of a ladder set up in the aisle, putting D-Von through a table below.
With the match tied at one elimination apiece, Matt and Jeff Hardy focused their attack on Bully Ray in the ring, hitting him with multiple steel chair shots.
They secured the victory after putting him through the final table with a double-team uranage.
After the bell, all four men embraced in the ring. Amidst chants of “Thank You Dudleys” from the crowd, Bully Ray and D-Von removed their boots and handed them to the Hardys before a final show of respect between the two teams.
