Syuri once again has the IWGP Women’s Championship.

The STARDOM vet regained the title at Monday’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling card at Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan, prevailing after a hard-hitting 15-minute battle to dethrone rival Sareee.

Syuri survived a brutal sequence from Sareee, including four huge Uranages, before she could find an opener to land her Syu-Sekai finisher. Earlier moments in the match had physical striking exchanges, trading stiff forearms to the chest at one point.

The result was the third matchup as part of a feud between Syuri and Sareee throughout this year.

The two Joshi talents fought to a 30-minute draw at a Sareee-produced event in March, marking their first singles matchup since 2011. Their second meeting was much more decisive, with Sareee capturing Syuri’s IWGP Women’s Championship in a 32-minute victory back in June.

Monday’s matchup, which was just announced days prior, was significantly shorter than their two earlier meetings this year.

Syuri is now the first woman in the IWGP Women’s Championship’s short lineage to hold the title twice. Her prior reign lasted 55 days, beginning after dethroning Mayu Iwatani in April.

Sareee held the belt for just over 100 days. Her reign included a brief two-episode excursion in ROH, defending her belt on this week’s HonorClub episode against Alex Windsor.
