As per usual, there’s a lot going on this weekend in the world of wrestling. AEW will head to St. Louis for WrestleDream, Mercedes Moné and Persephone will get the main event spotlight at Arena Mexico, Taichi will get a special homecoming over in Japan, and much more.

We have picked out five events to keep an eye out for this weekend from all around the world. Don’t know what to watch? After reading this, you’ll have your viewing schedule for the next three days all planned out. Here’s the latest weekend TV guide.

Friday

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network

In the first episode of Smackdown since Crown Jewel, WWE’s Friday Night brand will head to the SAP Center in San Jose, California for an episode of TV.

The biggest appearance confirmed for the show will be Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who will address his Crown Jewel Championship loss against Seth Rollins from last weekend.

Friday night’s lineup will also see NXT’s Zaria and Sol Ruca attempt to take down WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, getting a title opportunity they earned a few weeks back when they made a surprise appearance on the show.

Jacob Fatu is also expected to take on Drew McIntyre in a grudge match. Here’s everything they have thus far:

  • Cody Rhodes to address Crown Jewel loss
  • Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Zaria & Sol Ruca (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)
  • Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre

CMLL Viernes Espectacular / 10 p.m. ET / CMLL Youtube or TrillerTV PPV

Women will get the spotlight at Arena Mexico this evening.

CMLL will present an all-women’s card on Friday night from Mexico City, headlined by a title matchup between Mercedes Moné and Persephone. Moné will be defending her CMLL World Women’s Championship for the second time, putting her title on the line for the first time since June. She has overcome Persephone in four-way action before, but Friday will be her first-ever time facing the CMLL star in one-on-one action.

It’s a big weekend for Moné, who will appear at Saturday’s AEW pay-per-view before competing for a title at Winnipeg Pro Wrestling’s card on Sunday. Three countries, at least two title matchups, all in just two days. She’ll try to get things started on a positive note in Mexico.

Friday’s card will feature some international talent, including STARDOM’s Hazuki and Koguma, as well as RevPro talent Kanji.

This evening’s card will be available to paid subscribers on CMLL’s Youtube channel. However, over on TrillerTV, a pay-per-view option is also available with an English feed being offered up, something CMLL has tried out as of late.

  • Kira vs. Sanely (Lightning Match)
  • Tabata & Nexy vs. Candela & Valkyria
  • Marcela, Princesa Sugehit & La Magnífica vs. Hazuki, Koguma & Kanji
  • La Catalina, Lluvia & La Jarochita vs. Zeuxis, Queen Isis & Olympia
  • Mercedes Moné vs. Persephone (CMLL Women’s World Championship)

TJPW Additional Attack ’25 / 10 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

Korakuen Hall in Tokyo will present a doubleheader of wrestling action this weekend, beginning with a card from prominent Joshi brand TJPW before returning tomorrow night with DDT.

The main event of TJPW’s Additional Attack ’25 will see Miu Watanabe put her Princess of Princess Championship on the line for the first time since dethroning Mizuki in September, going up against fellow promotional vet Yuki Aino. A win for Aino would be a significant upset, considering she has never won a singles title and hasn’t beaten Watanabe since 2019.

Many of TJPW’s top names will appear on the undercard as part of the “LEVEL UP TRIAL” series, which pits prominent stars in the promotion against their newest up-and-comers. Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki and Miyu Yamashita will be involved.

It’s definitely one of the more low-key cards from TJPW this year. But, if you want an option from Japan on Friday night, it should still be a good choice.

  • Raku vs. Pom Harajuku vs. Mahiro Kiryu vs. Suzume vs. Kaya Toribami
  • Mifu Ashida vs. Ren Konatsu vs. Kira Summer vs. Chika Nanase
  • Shoko Nakajima vs. Uta Takami
  • Mizuki vs. Haru Kazashiro
  • Miyu Yamashita vs. Shino Suzuki
  • Yuki Arai vs. Hyper Misao
  • Arisu Endo vs. Alice Crowley (TJPW International Princess Championship)
  • Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara vs. Yuna Manase & Toga (TJPW Princess Tag Team Championship)
  • Miu Watanabe vs. Yuki Aino (TJPW Princess of Princess Championship)

Saturday

AEW WrestleDream / 8 p.m. ET / PPV

AEW is back this weekend with WrestleDream, a jam-packed pay-per-view lineup from the Chaifetz Arena.

Hangman Adam Page will try to extend his reign as AEW World Champion past the 100-day mark when he meets Samoa Joe on Saturday night. Page has set a high bar with his past PPV title matchups, beating Jon Moxley, MJF and Kyle Fletcher in recent months, and a lot of people will be hoping this one delivers in a similar way that those bouts did.

Toni Storm, the most decorated woman in AEW history, has the opportunity to avenge her All Out loss to Kris Statlander and regain the AEW Women’s World Championship in one of the bigger title matchups of the evening.

And, while it’s not for a title, an I Quit match between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin will certainly also be one of the most anticipated matchups on the night. Both men have made it clear that they don’t plan on admitting to quitting in the blood feud bout, but something will have to eventually give when their sadistic, violent styles collide.

As is always the case with AEW PPVs, this card is full of interesting matchups up and down: Jurassic Express makes its first PPV appearance since 2022 against The Young Bucks, Mark Briscoe aims to dethrone TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita try to set their rivalry aside and earn tag gold off Brodido, and much more.

The event will feature a one-hour pre-show at 7 p.m. ET, airing live on TNT. Here’s everything we know about Saturday’s card:

  • Eddie Kingston & HOOK Open Challenge (Pre-show)
  • Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale vs. Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford (Pre-show)
  • Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood vs. Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey (Pre-show)
  • Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy, Tomohiro Ishii & Roderick Strong vs. Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, PAC & Wheeler Yuta (Pre-show)
  • Jamie Hayter vs. Thekla
  • Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Jack Perry & Luchasaurus ($500k Tag Team Match)
  • Bobby Lashley, MVP & Shelton Benjamin vs. Ricochet, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona (Tornado Tag Match)
  • Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin (I Quit)
  • Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe (TNT Championship)
  • Bandido & Brody King vs. Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita (AEW World Tag Team Championships)
  • Kris Statlander vs. Toni Storm (AEW Women’s World Championship)
  • Hangman Adam Page vs. Samoa Joe (AEW World Championship)

Sunday

NJPW New Japan Road in Ishikari / 2 a.m. ET / NJPW World

All the focus will be on NJPW’s Taichi at the promotion’s last event before the Super Jr. Tag League kicks off.

Wrestling in his hometown of Ishikari for the first time in 15 years, a homecoming long in the making, Taichi will present a self-produced card in front of a sold out gymnasium. The event, one of the more unique lineups you’ll see from NJPW this year, is taking place at the former junior high school Taichi once attended, per the promotion’s site.

While many recognizable NJPW names will be present, including Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA and others, there are some other talents who will get a rare showcase on the cirulean blue canvas as well. Numerous wrestlers from TAKA Michinoku’s Just Tap Out promotion, like Aoi, Tomoka Inaba and Jewel Bird will be in action on the undercard.

It’s a relatively quiet Sunday for wrestling. But, if you crave something to watch on that day, you might enjoy Taichi’s return home in the main event.;

  • Masatora Yasuda vs. Jewel Bird
  • Shoma Kato & Yuji Nagata vs. Katsuya Murashima & Satoshi Kojima
  • rhythm & Tomoka Inaba vs. Aoi & Azusa Inaba (JTO Girls Tag Team Championships)
  • Bomber Tatsuya, Ryome Tsukamoto & Thunder Masami vs. Daiki Nagai, Hiromu Takahashi & Yota Tsuji
