Brody King and Bandido defeated Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at AEW WrestleDream to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
The finish was set up by miscommunication between the challengers. Bandido ducked a Rainmaker, causing Okada to hit Takeshita. Okada smiled as he apologized, walking into an X-Knee from Bandido.
King then took Takeshita out of the match with a dive to the floor. This allowed Bandido, who was nursing an injured shoulder, to hit Okada with a one-armed 21-Plex for the victory.
Tension between Okada and Takeshita was evident earlier in the match. During one sequence, Takeshita hit a senton on Bandido, interrupting Okada, which led to glares between the partners.
The champions, Brodido, had attempted to perform the Macarena, but Okada cut them off. Okada then performed his own version of the dance while simultaneously flipping off the crowd.
The match featured several fast-paced sequences. King hit a cannonball on both Okada and Takeshita, who were stacked in the corner. In another spot, Bandido hit a Shooting Star Press onto Takeshita for a two-count. The crowd reacted strongly when King attempted to suplex all three other men at once.
After the match, Don Callis tended to Okada in the ring while Takeshita looked on from the ramp. King and Bandido celebrated their win, with King finally joining Bandido in performing the Macarena.
