John Cena says he is going on last at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Before his retirement, Cena appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and addressed the stories that he might be opening the show in Washington, D.C.

That’s Pizzagate, homie. I was on Jimmy Kimmel, and I said, I’m ending the show and I normally go to bed early, but I’m going to have to stay up. I guess people didn’t read the tea leaves, like, we’re last. I don’t know how the rumors started. I think some folks with credibility like to kick a hornet’s nest every once in a while, and get people chattering, and I understand, we’re in the age of information, so what’s going to keep my attention?

I don’t even know how that started. It’s difficult to conceptualize that. I don’t make the menu, and if I show up tomorrow and they want me to go on first, well, that’s what I’m going to do, but we are last at this point.

The match will be the second Peacock-exclusive edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event in the U.S. and will include the four-match format.

Saturday Night’s Main Event – December 13:

  • John Cena’s Retirement Match: John Cena vs. Gunther
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi
  • Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
  • AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater
