- Fatal-Four-Way #1 Contenders Match: Leon Slater over Myles Borne, Joe Hendry & Dion Lennox
Leon Slater is the new #1 contender for the NXT Championship coming out of Tuesday’s fatal four-way match.
Joe Hendry and Dion Lennox were brawling on the floor and heading toward the back after Myles Borne was left lying on the apron. Slater capitalized and climbed to the top for a Swanton 450 and pinned Borne.
Oba Femi walked out at the end of the show and set up their championship match at New Year’s Evil on January 6.

The win by Slater occurs days after he performed at Saturday Night’s Main Event, teaming with Je’Von Evans against AJ Styles & Dragon Lee at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
The title shot was up for grabs after Je’Von Evans won the Iron Survivor Challenge, but he cashed in his title shot last week and lost to Femi.
Ricky Saints appeared on Tuesday’s episode after costing Evans the match last week. Saints is a full-fledged heel, and he cut a solid promo. Evans was awaiting Saints’ arrival throughout the show and stormed the ring during Saints’ promo for a pull-apart, ending with Evans being put through the desk by Saints.
The major news of the episode was Thea Hail beating Blake Monroe for the North American Championship. It appeared to be an errant finish with immediate confusion by the production team, who played Monroe’s music, and the broadcasters reacting to the title change. They ruled it was a title change and Hail is the new champion, although Monroe indicated she will be receiving a rematch.
