MJF became a two-time AEW World Champion by defeating Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Adam Page in the main event of Worlds End.

He secured the victory by pinning the defending champion, ending Joe’s reign after just over a month.

The four-way contest began with a chaotic brawl that saw all competitors execute dives to the outside, including an Orihara Moonsault by Page that clipped MJF.

A mid-match confrontation between rivals Page and Strickland drew a significant reaction from the Chicago crowd, culminating in Page hitting a Buckshot Lariat on Strickland that Joe interrupted to save his title.

Strategic alliances formed and dissolved throughout the match. At one point, MJF released a submission hold on Page to break up Joe’s Coquina Clutch on Strickland, preventing a submission victory for the champion.

The final stretch saw interference from Joe’s faction, The Opps, as Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, and Hook arrived at ringside.

Strickland neutralized the interlopers by delivering a Swerve Stomp to the outside. Inside the ring, Page connected with two Buckshot Lariats on Joe but was intercepted on a third attempt.

MJF shoved Joe out of the way, struck Page with a low blow, and executed a Heatseeker on Joe to secure the pinfall.

He celebrated with the championship as the pay-per-view concluded, and is scheduled to address the audience on the “New Year’s Smash” edition of Dynamite this Wednesday.
