Syuri has achieved double-champ status.
While successfully defending her IWGP Women’s Championship, Syuri gained the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship from Saya Kamitani as part of Sunday’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 card in the Tokyo Dome.
A fast-paced 12-minute battle between the STARDOM talents was full of near falls, eventually coming to an end after Syuri connected with her Syu-Sekai finisher.
Earlier moments in the match saw Kamitani survive a Sekai, Syuri kicked out of a Star Crusher, and Kamitani went flying with a springboard crossbody to the outside.
Kamitani, who more importantly still holds the World of STARDOM Championship, had held her NJPW title for nearly 100 days. She is coming off a gigantic 2025, which earned her the notable MVP award from Tokyo Sports last month.
Meeting Kamitani for the first time since 2021, Syuri was wagering an IWGP belt she earned for the second time by beating Sareee back in October.
