A multi-man match for the International Championship has been added to the lineup for tonight’s TNA Genesis event.
TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced via a video on X that Stacks will defend his title in a four-way contest against Eric Young, BDE, and a mystery opponent.
Marella described the unannounced participant as someone “who made their name in the great state of Texas”.
The booking decision follows comments from Marella’s daughter, Ariana Grace, who claimed her fiancé, Stacks, could defeat any opponent presented to him.
Grace aligned with Stacks late last year after turning on her father, citing a desire to step out of Marella’s shadow.
Stacks has held the International Championship since December 5, when he defeated Steve Maclin at Final Resolution. His most recent defense occurred on Tuesday against Shiloh Hill on NXT.
TNA Genesis takes place tonight at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.
