Making Them Wait

The final TNA Thursday Night Impact before No Surrender kicked off with Moose cutting an in-ring promo talking about being kicked out of The System. Moose said he created The System and knows how to dismantle it. This brought out TNA Champion Mike Santana, who said Moose is the perfect person to help him. Moose called for The Hardys, but instead Daria Rae appeared, saying the match wouldn’t happen now; it would be in the main event slot as planned.

Ryan Nemeth was interviewed backstage ahead of his Albuquerque Street Fight with Mara Sadé. Nemeth complained that Sadé had superkicked him “four hundred billion times,” and he was going to use every weapon to destroy her in front of her family tonight.

Backstage, Alisha Edwards apologized to Moose for what happened and said her contract was coming up, and her mental health isn’t doing well. Moose called Alisha his sister and said he understood whatever she decided.

Rich Swann vs. Nic Nemeth

The first match of the night saw Rich Swann take on Nic Nemeth, with commentary noting that they last faced each other two years ago. Nemeth had control of the match going into an ad break. Upon return, Swann mounted a comeback, but Nemeth shut it down with a Famouser. Nemeth then went for Danger Zone, but Swann was able to reverse out of it and hit a Frog Splash for a near fall. The announce team then called a sleeper hold by Nemeth, a “rear naked choke,” as Rich Swann broke out of it and hit a Death Valley Driver. Swann then attempted a Back Hand Spring but was caught with the Danger Zone by Nemeth for the win.

Indi Hartwell and Xia Brookside cut a backstage promo saying Lei Ying Lee would keep her title tomorrow at No Surrender. They noted that they had a pinfall victory over The Elegance Brand and therefore they would walk out of No Surrender as Knockout Tag Team Champions.

The Righteous appeared backstage and said the stars had aligned as they would finally be on the same team as The Hardys. They said everything was going exactly as it should and that they would be honored to stand beside them.

A Proposition and a Beat-Down

Eric Young went to the ring and called out BDE, demanding that he join him. Young said, “We need you, and you need us”. BDE said he didn’t need Young or his imaginary friends; he just needed the TNA fans. Young attacked BDE and hit him with a piledriver despite the referees pleading with him to stop. Young then hit a piledriver on a security guard after pie-facing a female TNA referee. EY threatened fans at ringside before hitting another security guard with a piledriver, this time on the outside.

Santino Marella suspended Eric Young backstage, but Daria Mae appeared and undid the suspension. Mae said he was needed for No Surrender PPV tomorrow and told Marella to stop trying to go above her head.

Albuquerque Street Fight

Next up was the Albuquerque Street Fight between Ryan Nemeth and Mara Sadé. Nemeth attempted to jump Sadé before the bell, but Sadé nailed him as the match began, going right into the crowd. Sadé dominated most of the early part of the match, and the two exchanged shots with a hilariously small baking sheet. The announcers compared Nemeth to Andy Kaufman as he took control, hitting a swinging neckbreaker on the AMC logo on the floor. Sadé then dumped a bag of lollipops on the floor and suplexed Nemeth onto them. Sadé picked up the win after crotching Nemeth on the top rope and hitting him with a Superkick.

TNA Injury Report

  • Moose – medically cleared, returns tonight
  • Jeff Hardy – competing through multiple injuries, medically cleared
  • Jada Stone – remains sidelined after the Highway Man’s Farewell piledriver from Ali last week
  • Ash by Elegance – fully cleared to compete
  • BDE – being evaluated after EY attack

Mance Warner and Steph De Lander cut a backstage promo, introducing themselves to the AMC audience and saying they were there to stack bodies, not to make friends.

A promo package aired with Mustafa Ali and Order 4 praying for Elijah after what he did to him last week. Elijah responded, saying he doesn’t respond kindly to mocking God and prayer. Elijah challenged Ali to a “Guitar Case Casket Match” for No Surrender.

Backstage, Arianna Grace thanked Santino for giving her her title match at No Surrender. Behind his back, Arianna stole Santino’s Cobra.

The System vs. Santana, Moose, & The Hardys

The main event of the evening saw Moose teaming up with The Hardys and Mike Santana to take on The System. The momentum swung back and forth as the match began, but The System soon took over after utilizing the dreaded referee distraction.

After a commercial break, The System got the heat on Matt Hardy until he finally made the hot tag to Santana. All eight men then got in the ring as things broke down, and Eddie Edwards had his nose busted. Brian Myers tried to use a tag team title to attack Jeff Hardy, but Alisha Edwards grabbed it from him. Cedric Alexander knocked Jeff Hardy off the top turnbuckle, and Bear Bronson hit the Fire Thunder Driver to pick up the win for The System as the show went off the air.
