As AEW heads to Australia this weekend for a stacked lineup at the Qudos Bank Arena, there will also be plenty of action stateside between a live show from TNA, a busy episode of Smackdown, and some solid independent options. Elsewhere in the world, there’s some awesome lineups being offered up by CMLL this weekend, and some interesting shows in Japan, as always.

There are lots of options this weekend, and we have a breakdown of them all for you! We’ve picked out 11 shows to consider, providing you with all the info you need to know for each. Let’s begin.

Friday

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / Syfy Network

WWE has announced a series of high-stakes matchups for tonight’s episode of Smackdown, which will air live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

A women’s title doubleheader will feature a long-awaited one-on-one battle between WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill and recent NXT call-up Jordynne Grace, who have been going back-and-forth for weeks. Earlier in the night, surging tag duo Nia Jax and Lash Legend will try to end the title run of RhIYO.

A pair of Elimination Chamber qualifying matches will take place, including a stacked bout on the men’s side featuring Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and Jacob Fatu. That could certainly be a good one.

Worth remembering for this week and next week: Smackdown is temporarily airing on the Syfy Network, as 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics coverage has been given priority for the USA Network.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Rey Fenix vs. Trick Williams
  • Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)
  • Zelina vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Giulia (Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu vs. Sami Zayn (Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)
  • Jade Cargill vs. Jordynne Grace (WWE Women’s Championship)

TNA No Surrender / 8 p.m. ET / TNA+

TNA Wrestling’s second special event of the year, No Surrender, will go live this evening from Nashville, Tennessee.

Title action on the card includes the recently re-signed Trey Miguel challenging NXT’s Stacks for his TNA International Championship, Lei Ying Lee trying to turn back the recently heel-turned Arianna Grace, and The Elegance Brand putting their tag titles on the line.

While not defending their belts, world champ Mike Santana and X-Division star Leon Slater will be in the main event, teaming up to face Eddie Edwards and Nic Nemeth. This is certainly one of TNA’s smaller weekend shows of the year, especially with the two most prominent titles not on the line. Here’s what they’re offering live from The Pinnacle:

  • Eric Young vs. BDE
  • Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Dutch & Vincent vs. Jason Hotch, John Skyler, Mustafa Ali & Special Agent 0
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal
  • Heather & M By Elegance vs. Indi Hartwell & Xia Brookside (TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships)
  • Stacks vs. Trey Miguel (TNA International championship)
  • Lei Ying Lee vs. Arianna Grace (TNA Knockouts World Championship)
  • Eddie Edwards & Nic Nemeth vs. Leon Slater & Mike Santana

TJPW Max Heart Tournament Finals / 9 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

If you’re looking for something different this evening, it might be worth checking out the grand finals event for Joshi brand TJPW’s annual tag tournament. The grand finals for the company’s single-elimination bracket will see rising 18-year-old talent Uta Takami team with veteran star Mizuki against the “OberEats” duo of Yuki Kamifuku and Wakana Uehara. Takami has turned a lot of heads since her debut just over a year ago, and I wouldn’t be surprised if, while matched with one of the brand’s top names, they give her the tourney victory here.

Before that match, ex-STARDOM wrestler MIRAI will defend her International title against Toga, a solid midcard talent for the promotion who has yet to earn her first title. While this certainly isn’t like their 1.4 card or anything like that, TJPW has a solid lineup at a very convenient time this weekend, and a subscription to the underrated Wrestle Universe platform gives you access to it all.

  • Ren Konatsu vs. Shion Kanzaki
  • Miyu Yamashita, Kaya Toribami, HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki vs. Hyper Misao, Kakeru Sekiguchi, Kira Summer & Chika Nanase
  • Shoko Nakajima & Sara Phoenix vs. Suzume & Arisu Endo
  • MAX The Impaler, Raku & Pom Harajuku vs. Ryo Mizunami, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro
  • Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi vs. Yuki Arai & Mifu Ashida
  • Mahiro Kiryu vs. Aja Kong (DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship)
  • MIRAI vs. Toga (TJPW International Princess Championship)
  • Mizuki & Uta Takami vs. Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara (2026 Max Heart Tournament Final)

CMLL Viernes Espectacular / 9:30 p.m. ET / Youtube

Before they all pack into a plane and take to Japan for the annual Fantastica Mania tour in partnership with NJPW, many of CMLL’s top names will perform in Arena Mexico this Friday in what serves as a send-off show of sorts.

The lineup tonight in Mexico City is quite strong, and that’s a testament to how great a roster the Japanese fans will get to see at the tour soon. Tonight’s show includes tons of singles action, with Mistco vs. Templario headlining the night.

If you have a paid subscription to CMLL’s Youtube, you’ll be able to watch all this action live tonight:

  • Stigma vs. Okumura
  • Future & Valiente Jr. vs. Magnus & El Hijo de Stuka Jr.
  • Atlantis vs. Ultimo Guerrero vs. Hechicero
  • Mascara Dorada vs. Titan
  • Atlantis Jr. vs. Soberano Jr. vs. Averno (CMLL World Historic Light Heavyweight Championship)
  • Mistico vs. Templario

GCW will visit the Nile Theater in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday for Holy Smokes, closing out their back-to-back nights of action. A lot of the notable names from Saturday’s show are also here, but in different pairings, of course. The lineup features a rematch from Effy’s 2025 title run, meeting 1 Called Manders one-on-one once again.

Before we go, a few more shows to consider…

  • NOAH’s 2026 Jr. Tag League will continue this weekend with a pair of events from the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo. The shows are quite literally back-to-back, with one happening late this evening and the other going down on early Saturday morning. (Wrestle Universe)
  • Minoru Suzuki will be in singles action as part of Saturday morning’s DDT card from Shinjuku FACE, going head-to-head with To-y in the main event. The show will also see MMA star turned wrestler Shinya Aoki face Hinata Kasai, the son of deathmatch legend Jun Kasai. (Wrestle Universe)
  • While we only have Friday’s CMLL card in the lineup this week, it’s worth pointing out that they have some intriguing lineups on Saturday and Sunday, as well. Absent from Friday’s show but appearing elsewhere on the weekend is AEW’s Daniel Garcia and El Clon, who will be wrestling in two days from now as part of a four-way alongside Neon and Esfinge. Sounds like that could be fun! (Youtube)
