Jake Hager is venturing away from professional wrestling and has signed an agreement with Power Slap.

Hager spoke with TMZ’s Inside the Ring and will debut for the group on April 17 at a show in Las Vegas during WrestleMania weekend.

Hager said he will compete in the heavyweight division and has signed on for six appearances with Power Slap. He was initially contacted by Nick Cvjetkovich a.k.a. Sinn Bodhi about joining Power Slap.

The Oklahoma native was an NCAA Division I All-American and recruited to WWE after graduating. Hager was part of WWE for eleven years, including a run as World Heavyweight Champion in 2010 after winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 26.

He joined AEW when the company launched Dynamite in October 2019, as a member of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle, and his contract expired in 2024.

Hager has a 3-0 (1 no-contest) record in MMA while fighting for Bellator from 2019 to 2020.
