Dion Lennox ambushed Myles Borne with a steel chair following Borne’s successful NXT North American Championship defense at Stand & Deliver.

The attack occurred immediately after Borne defeated Johnny Gargano to retain the title.

Lennox struck Borne in the back with the chair, delivered several right hands, and executed an Emerald Flowsion to drop the champion.

Earlier, Borne and Gargano engaged in a competitive matchup. Early on, Gargano delivered a cannonball to the floor. Borne later gained an advantage by sending Gargano spine-first into the ring post.

Throughout the match, Gargano targeted Borne’s shoulder. He also executed a sunset flip powerbomb and a spear from the entrance ramp through the middle ropes. Borne countered with powerful maneuvers, including an ushigoroshi and a scoop powerslam from the turnbuckles.

At one point, Candice LeRae struck Borne from the outside while he attempted a pinfall. This allowed Gargano to apply the Gargano Escape submission hold, but Borne eventually reached the ropes to break the maneuver.

In the closing moments, the action moved to the apron and entrance ramp. Borne executed a slingshot Borne Again on Gargano, followed by a second Borne Again in the center of the ring to secure the pinfall victory.
