Tony D’Angelo has won the NXT Championship in a fatal four-way match against Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, and Ricky Saints.
The match served as the main event of Saturday’s Stand & Deliver premium live event.
Early in the match, Page and Saints formed a loose alliance to attack Hendry and D’Angelo. Page and Saints executed tandem offense on Hendry, including a double suplex and splashes in the corner.
However, the alliance faltered as Page and Saints argued over who should pin Hendry. During the disagreement, Page suplexed Saints onto D’Angelo.
The match featured a series of near falls and impactful maneuvers from all competitors. D’Angelo speared Saints, and Hendry delivered an Attitude Adjustment to D’Angelo. D’Angelo also hit Hendry with a spinebuster.
The action frequently spilled outside the ring. Page and Saints threw D’Angelo into the steel steps. Saints then executed a Revolution DDT on D’Angelo on the floor, and Page followed with a Twisted Grin. Hendry responded with a cannonball over the top rope, taking out both Page and Saints.
Back inside the ring, Hendry executed a hurricanrana on Page and fallaway slams on Tony and Ricky. D’Angelo rallied, delivering suplexes to all three of his opponents.
Later in the contest, Saints brought a steel chair into the ring. He executed a Revolution DDT on Hendry onto the chair. Page broke up the resulting pinfall attempt, leading to a brawl between Page and Saints at ringside. Page powerslammed Saints through the cover of the announce table.
As Page and Saints stood on the steel steps, D’Angelo speared both men, sending them through the announce desk. D’Angelo then returned to the ring, where he evaded a Standing Ovation attempt by Hendry.
D’Angelo speared Hendry and followed with his Dead to Rights finishing maneuver to secure the pinfall victory and his first NXT Championship.
