In the midst of a busy Wrestlemania weekend, AAA quietly published another week of its TV show on Saturday evening. While episodes of the show typically air on WWE’s Youtube for international fans, the latest edition was instead put on AAA’s own channel this week without an English feed available.
The show, which was taped earlier this month in Mexico City, Mexico, opened with a fast-paced three-way between Aero Star, Lince Dorado, and Joaquin Wilde. A sunset flip powerbomb out of the corner from Dorado onto Aero Star gave him the pinfall win in seven minutes, closing out a strong opener for the card.
As pointed out by others online recently, Wilde has been sporting a look similar to what he had during his time in TNA under the DJ Zema Ion persona. He was seen at one point in the match bringing a cameraman into the ring to do a photoshoot while applying a submission.
In a backstage segment, El Hijo del Vikino’s right-hand man, Dorian Roldan, was seen asking AAA President Marsiela Pena to appoint him as the brand’s General Manager. Frustrated with how Vikingo missed out on winning Dominik Mysterios WWE Intercontinental Championship recently, an opportunity which he said would’ve put Vikingo on this year’s Wrestlemania card and given AAA loads of exposure, Roldan said that as GM, he could help take the company to the next level.
“Give me a week to think about it,” Pena replied.
Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice’s run as AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions survived their first title defence on Saturday’s show, turning back Dinamico and La Hiedra in a seven-minute bout. The finish saw Mr. Iguana counter a powerbomb from Dinamico into a DDT onto La Yesca for the pinfall win.
Two-time AAA Mega Champion El Texano Jr. was recruited for a tag match by El Grande Americano backstage on this week’s show. The booking, which will be Texano Jr.’s first appearance on AAA’s weekly show, will come against El Mesias and Mecha Wolf.
The main event saw Ivar of the War Raiders beat utilize interference to beat Psycho Clown.
Psycho Clown was closing in on a win against Ivar, scoring a near fall after a Sunset Flip Powerbomb into a Mexican Destroyer. However, the dynamic of the match changed after he accidentally dropkicked Ivar into the referee, leaving the bout without an official momentarily.
Psycho Clown connected with an Air Raid Crash to the significantly larger Ivar, but there was no referee in the ring to count the follow-up pin attempt. War Raiders teammate Erik hit the ring and attacked Psycho Clown, eventually working with Ivar to deliver a double-team chokeslam for the finish.
The singles matchup was made after a tag title bout between the War Raiders and the duo of Pagano and Psycho Clown ended in a no-contest recently, with the match devolving into a brawl featuring loads of plunder.
Upset that Pagano didn’t show up to even the odds, Psycho Clown came to shoves backstage with his teammate after the match.

The show ended with a big twist: Psycho Clown saw Murder Clown down and out backstage following an attack. And, after finding a rag with Pagano’s skull design on it, he started to connect the dots. Was it possible that Pagano wasn’t ringside because he was busy plotting an attack against one of their allies? Psycho Clown shouted “PAGANO!” as the show went off air.
Next week’s lineup:
- El Grande Americano & Texano Jr. vs. El Mesias & Mecha Wolf
- Rey Fenix in action
- Recent AAA signing La Catalina to appear in new interview
