Jun Saito to miss rest of AJPW’s Champion Carnival due to injury

An orbital fracture to Jun Saito will take the former Triple Crown holder out of the ongoing Champion Carnival.

All Japan Pro Wrestling confirmed the removal of Saito after an injury this past Saturday during his match with Yuma Aoyagi.

Jun Saito suffered an injury to his right eye during a match at the Nagoya tournament on April 18th (Saturday) and was diagnosed with an “orbital floor fracture.” As a result, he will be absent from competition for the time being.

Jun Saito, who was entered in the “Champion Carnival 2026,” will forfeit all official matches from April 23rd onward.

As a result, Jun Saito’s record in the “Champion Carnival 2026” is 2 losses and 5 forfeits, with 0 points.

Saito was injured in his second match of the round-robin stage following a loss to Ren Ayabe on April 12. Saito was forced to forfeit his match with Madoka Kikuta on Sunday and will forfeit the remainder of his Block B matches.

The Champion Carnival resumes on Thursday and continues through May 17, when the final is held at Ota City Gymnasium
