WWE claims WrestleMania 42 was “one of the highest-grossing events” in company history

WWE and TKO highlighted the success of WrestleMania 42 on Wednesday.

A press release was issued that claimed WrestleMania 42 was “one of the highest-grossing events in company history.” WWE said they had a record or near-record performances across gate, sponsorship, and merchandise. WWE also said that both nights of WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium reached an attendance of 106,072.

The first two matches of Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 were broadcast on ESPN2. This was the trios match between The Usos, LA Knight, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed and Jacob Fatu against Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match. WWE claimed that it “was the most-viewed telecast of the year on ESPN2.”

The Oba Femi-Brock Lesnar match and the Intercontinental ladder match were broadcast on ESPN. WWE claimed that it “was the most-viewed telecast of the entire weekend on ESPN.”
