NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Night 5 / 5:30 a.m. ET / NJPW World
Action from this year’s NJPW Best of the Super Juniors tournament will continue this weekend with a tripleheader of cards. It all started this morning, when NJPW visited Osaka for a night full of A Block action. Five Round Robin bouts took place this morning, including a matchup that saw 2025 tournament winner Kosei Fujita meet 2023 winner Master Wato. The card also saw Titan look to extend his tournament undefeated streak to five wins against Ryusuke Taguchi. Was the Funky Weapon able to score the upset win?
The full show is available to watch on replay right now via NJPW World. Here’s a spoiler-free look at the lineup:

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network
Just 24 hours before WWE presents Saturday Night’s Main Event, Friday Night Smackdown will visit the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. As has seemingly become tradition for the show at this point, almost nothing has been announced thus far. Apart from a long-awaited match that puts Shinsuke Nakamura against Talla Tonga of the OTC, we don’t know what to expect for tonight’s three-hour broadcast. Here are some guesses: Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes might go face-to-face with Clash in Italy opponent Gunther, and we might get a preview of some of the women’s division action set for Saturday night’s card.
- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Talla Tonga
HOG Waging War / 7 p.m. ET / TrillerTV+
House of Glory will host a card in New York City tonight for “Waging War,” an event featuring five different title matchups. Among the stand-out matches on tonight’s show are Shotzi defending against up-and-coming AEW talent Lena Kross, Lio Rush chasing Cruiserweight gold, and TNT Champion Kevin Knight meeting Amazing Red in a first-time matchup. The show will also feature the return of MMA prospect and wrestler Phumi Nkuta, competing just days after his controversial loss at MVP MMA’s first-ever show.
- Kevin Knight vs. Amazing Red
- Infamous vs. Lio Rush (HOG Cruiserweight Championship)
- Zilla Fatu vs. Cashflow (HOG Crown Jewel Championship)
- Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy vs. Stu Grayson & Evil Uno (HOG Tag Team Championships)
- Shotzi vs. Lena Kross (HOG Women’s Championship)
- Charles Mason vs. Sweet Cheeks (HOG World Championship)
CMLL Viernes Espectacular / 10:30 p.m. ET / Youtube
Through two past one-on-one matchups, Bandido has yet to overcome fellow Luchador Volador Jr. The stakes will be higher than ever when they face off again tonight inside the famous Arena Mexico, as Bandido will be wagering his ROH World Championship as part of the bout. A matchup between those two stellar workers will headline tonight’s show from Arena Mexico, which also includes The Don Callis Family’s Hechicero, El Clon and Rocky Romero in undercard action, as well as an appearance from former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa. CMLL has a solid showcase worth considering this evening:
- Tornado vs. Estudiante Jr.
- Thunder Rosa, India Sioux & Garra Negra vs. Reyna Isis, Dark Silueta & Olympia
- Mascara Dorada, Barbaro Cavernario & Neon vs. Hechicero, El Clon & Rocky Romero
- Atlantis Jr. vs. Soberano Jr. vs. Zandokan Jr. vs. Angel de Oro vs. Star Jr. vs. Vilano III Jr. vs. El Cobarde vs. Hijo de Stuka Jr. vs. Brillante Jr. vs. Espanto Jr.
- Bandido vs. Volador Jr. (ROH World Championship)
Saturday
MARIGOLD Shine Forever 2026 / 1 a.m. ET / Wrestle Universe
Joshi brand MARIGOLD will celebrate its second anniversary this weekend, heading to Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo for “Shine Forever.” The main event is a six-woman tag bout billed as a contest showcasing a select list of wrestlers who have made history in the promotion. This includes former world champ Utami Hayashishita, current champ Miku Aono, ex-United National Champion Mai Sakurai, and others. The bout is notably Hayashishita’s final MARIGOLD appearance before she parts ways with the promotion.
I’m personally most excited to see up-and-comers Seri Yamaoka and Senka Akatsuki share the ring in a one-on-one match. Akatsuki beat Yamaoka last year when it was in her home promotion of Marvelous. What will happen this time, when Yamaoka has the home turf advantage?
- Komomo Minami & Nagisa Tachibana vs. Shinno & Yuuka Yamazaki
- Rea Seto vs. ChiChi
- Natsumi Showzuki, Nao Ishikawa, Syoko Koshino & Angel Hayze vs. Nagisa Nozaki, Nightshade, Nyla Rose & Johnnie Robbie
- Megaton vs. TBA
- Seri Yamaoka vs. Senka Akatsuki
- Misa Matsui & CHIAKI vs. Kouki Amarei & Chika Goto (MARIGOLD Twin Star Championships)
- Miku Aono, Mai Sakurai & MIRAI vs. Utami Hayashishita vs. Takumi Iroha & Maddy Morogan
STARDOM Queens Dynasty 2026 / 1 a.m. ET / Stagecrowd PPV
Joshi fans will have options on Saturday morning, as STARDOM will be going head-to-head with MARIGOLD’s anniversary show when they present Queens Dynasty 2026. The pay-per-view show from Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium includes Sayaka Kurara defending the World of STARDOM Championship for the first time, taking on fan favorite Maki Itoh. Since joining STARDOM earlier this year, Itoh has yet to earn gold. It would be quite the way to begin her first reign by ending Kurara’s run before it truly even started, claiming the company’s top belt this weekend.
Another match worth looking for is the four-way to determine the next world title challenger, with Starlight Kid, Suzu Suzuki, Maika, and Natsuko Tora facing off.
- Waka Tsukiyama vs. Rian vs. Matoi Hamabe
- Syuri vs. Maya Fukuda
- Saori Anou & Fuwa-chan vs. Saya Kamitani & Ruaka
- Saya Iida vs. HANAKO vs. Xena
- Natsupoi, Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura vs. Ami Sourei, Hina & Lady C vs. Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki & Akira Kurogane (Artisst of STARDOM Championship #1 Contenders Match)

- Ranna Yagami vs. Kikyo Furusawa (Future of STARDOM Championship)
- Starlight Kid vs. Suzu Suzuki vs. Maika vs. Natsuko Tora (World of STARDOM Championship #1 Contenders Match)
- Hanan vs. Bea Priestley (Wonder of STARDOM Championship)
- Sayaka Kurara vs. Maki Itoh (World of STADOM Championship)
NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Night 6 / 4 a.m. ET / NJPW World
The Arcrea Himeji in Hyogo, Japan will be treated to a mix of B & A Block Best of the Super Junior action tomorrow morning when NJPW presents night six of the tournament. One I’m looking forward to here is KUSHIDA vs. Hyo. While KUSHIDA’s last two performances haven’t been amazing, his first night of the tournament against El Desperado was great, and Dragon Gate representative Hyo has been enjoyable in the matches I’ve seen. Robbie Eagles and YOH in the main event has potential, too.
- Francesco Akira & Zane Jay vs. Daiki Nagai & Gedo
- Master Wato, Ryusuke Taguchi & Tatsuya Matsumoto vs. Hartley Jackson, Robbie Eagles & Ryohei Oiwa
- Nick Wayne & Tiger Mask vs. Robbie X & Titan
- Jun Kasai vs. Valiente Jr. (A Block)
- KUSHIDA vs. Hyo (B Block)
- Daisuke Sasaki vs. Jakob Austin Young (B Block)
- Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Taiji Ishimori (B Block)
- El Desperado vs. SHO (B Block)
- Robbie Eagles vs. YOH (B Block)
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event / 8 p.m. ET / Peacock
Considering the fact that some editions of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event have been quite a big deal, like the retirement of John Cena last year, this weekend’s episode of the quarterly program feels quite low-key in comparison. Tomorrow’s five-match edition of SNME from Fort Wayne, Indiana, definitely feels more like an episode of Smackdown or Raw than it does a Premium Live Event (PLE). But, there are still some interesting matchups in it.
Penta will try to continue his dominant WWE Intercontinental Championship run against recent NXT call-up Ethan Page, a match I think could deliver. Sol Ruca will also try to make a splash on Saturday night, aiming to earn her first main roster win by taking down Becky Lynch in a non-title bout.
- Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin
- Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca
- Brie Bella & Paige vs. Lash Legend & Nia Jax (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)
- Austin Theory & Logan Paul vs. Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford (WWE World Tag Team Championships)
- Penta vs. Ethan Page (WWE Intercontinental Championship)
Sunday
NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Night 7 / 2 a.m. ET / NJPW World
The A Block for BOSJ gets little rest this weekend, as they’ll be in action once again on Sunday as part of a show in Kyoto. This show includes Jun Kasai versus Nick Wayne, and that both excites me and scares me. I’m also looking forward to Titan against Robbie X, as I feel they could put on a fun one together.
- Daisuke Sasaki & Masatora Yasuda vs. Tatsuya Matsumoto & Toru Yano
- El Desperado & Tiger Mask vs. Jakob Austin Young & Zane Jay
- Robbie Eagles & Ryohei Owa vs. Gedo & Taiji Ishimori
- Hyo, KUSHIDA & YOH vs. Dick Togo, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru
- Francesco Akira vs. Daiki Nagai (A Block)
- Master Wato vs. Valiente Jr. (A Block)
- Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Kosei Fujita (A Block)
- Titan vs. Robbie X (A Block)
- Jun Kasai vs. Nick Wayne (A Block)
AEW Double or Nothing / 8 p.m. ET / PPV
There’s no doubt that the highlight of this weekend will be AEW’s annual Double or Nothing pay-per-view, going down from Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City.
AEW has done a great job at building up the rematch between World Champion Darby Allin and MJF, who will close out the show this Sunday. After Allin pulled off a stunning win over MJF last month, he has shown a workmanlike attitude with the world title, defending it a staggering seven times within just a few weeks. But has the wear and tear of numerous high-level prizefights within a few weeks weakened Allin, giving MJF the perfect opportunity to avenge his loss?
The stakes are high for MJF, even when taking the world title out of the mix. The arrogant heel will wager his prized hair on Sunday night, meaning a loss this weekend will leave him both without a belt and without his pride. This matchup is, in my opinion, one of the best built title bouts AEW has put together in some time and I’m looking forward to it.
Along with that huge title matchup, Sunday’s show includes a four-way showdown for Thekla’s AEW Women’s World Championship, the biggest Stadium Stampede match to date, the beginning of the annual Owen Hart Cup, an “I Quit” match between FTR and Cope & Cage, and much more.
- Megan Bayne & Lena Kross vs. Zayda Steel & Viva Van (Pre-Show)
- Big Boom AJ, QT Marshall, Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong vs. Shane Taylor, Anthony Ogogo, Shawn Dean, Carlie Bravo & Lee Moriarty (Pre-Show)
- Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta vs. Hook, Anthony Bowens & Katsuyori Shibata (Pre-Show)
- Athena vs. Mina Shirakawa (Women’s Owen Hart Cup Quarter-Final)
- Bandido vs. Swerve Strickland (Men’s Owen Hart Cup Quarter-Final)
- Samoa Joe vs. Will Ospreay (Men’s Owen Hart Cup Quarter-Final)
- Chris Jericho, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, Mark Davis, Andrade El Idolo, Clark Connors & David Finlay (Stadium Stampede Match)
- Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita (AEW International Championship)
- Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly (AEW Continental Championship)
- Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage (AEW World Tag Team Championships) (I Quit Match)
- Thekla vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Kris Statlander (AEW Women’s World Championship)
- Darby Allin vs. MJF (AEW World Championship vs. Hair Match)
Three more options to consider this weekend:
- The next month will see Pro Wrestling NOAH present its annual Global Tag League, bringing back the tournament after a year away. This year’s tour includes The Good Brothers, Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI, and MaruKen (Naomichi Marufuji and Kenoh), among others. Action begins this weekend with shows on Saturday and Sunday morning (Wrestle Universe)
- The final episode of AAA TV before the brand’s huge Noche de los Grandes card will air tomorrow night, including a cruiserweight title showdown between Laredo Kid and Rey Fenix (Youtube)
- The annual Hana Kimura Memorial Show will take place in Korakuen Hall this weekend. The show, honoring late Joshi star Kimura, who passed away in 2020, always brings together some of the top names from all around the Japanese scene (Triller PPV)
