New Japan Pro-Wrestling concluded its Best of the Super Juniors 33 tournament on Sunday at Ota City General Gymnasium.

YOH defeated Kosei Fujita to win the 2026 edition of the tournament. The 28-minute match served as a rematch of the 2025 final, which was won by Fujita. YOH secured the victory after executing his Direct Drive finishing maneuver.

NJPW announced an attendance of 3,969, with the show listed as a sellout.

The match opened with a slower chain-wrestling sequence before Fujita gained control with a single-leg Boston Crab. YOH reached the ropes and later took over with a flapjack and a cannonball from the top rope.

Fujita answered with three German suplexes and continued to target YOH with submission holds. YOH survived further offense, including repeated attempts at the Thrill Ride.

Both competitors incorporated Kazuchika Okada’s Rainmaker clothesline into their offensive sequences.

The closing stretch included both wrestlers using the Rainmaker, with YOH also landing a GTO and Bomaye before Fujita kicked out again. YOH then hit Direct Drive to secure the tournament win.

Post-match

After the match, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion DOUKI entered the ring to confront YOH. SHO then attacked YOH from behind, but YOH fought off both men before closing the show alongside CHAOS stablemates Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and Toru Yano.

NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi presented the tournament awards. Jun Kasai received the Outstanding Performance Award, Daiki Nagai won the Fighting Spirit Award, and Robbie X received the Technique Award.
