Liv Morgan’s alleged stalker will stand trial on Monday, June 15.

On May 31, 2025, Shawn Chan traveled from Canada to Morgan’s home in Florida before being arrested at the WWE Performance Center.

The 41-year-old’s trial will be held in the United States District Court in the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Chan faces one count of interstate domestic violence and faces up to five years in prison if convicted. The trial was originally set for March but was pushed back several times. According to PWInsider, the trial listed in the court records is a stipulated facts bench trial. A jury could be involved, but that likely will have to wait until both sides sign off on the stipulated facts bench trial.

According to an FBI affidavit, surveillance footage captured Chan circling Morgan’s private property. The 41-year-old attempted to find a key and tried to open the door by swiping the lock and grabbing the handle. The document stated Chan then picked up a Sig Sauer MCX .177 air rifle someone had left on the porch. After staying at the home for over two hours, he left a handwritten note. The note mentioned he was paying a “friendly visit” and included his personal contact information.

Chan recently pushed to introduce an insanity defense, per PWInsider. An exhibit list would be introduced at the trial that included a Stipulation of Facts, the handwritten note authored by Chan, the results of a Neuropsychological Evaluation of Chan, and a Forensic Psychological Report on Chan.
