Kali, Lola, & Kelani

WWE NXT from the Performance Center kicked off with Kali Armstrong in the ring, admitting she immediately targeted Kendal Grey once she won the title at Great American Bash. Armstrong said that no one was talking about Grey until she attacked her; now everyone was talking about her. This brought out Lola Vice, who called Kali impatient for jumping the line, noting she still hadn’t received her rematch. Both women said they would be watching the title match later tonight, and this brought out Kelani Jordan. Jordan brought up her defeating Tatum Paxley, but somehow no one was talking about her. Things came to blows, and Kali Armstrong hit a double shoulder check, standing tall as the segment ended.

NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders’ Match

The first match of the night was a Fatal 4-Way match between Darkstate, OTM, Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux, and BirthRight, with the winners becoming the #1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team titles. All four teams went back and forth with no team having full control. Saquon Shugars was shown watching the match and walked off with a baseball bat in hand. Finally, Darkstate took control as the three other teams attempted to fight from underneath. All four teams made a hot tag, and OTM briefly took control of the match. BirthRight scored a near fall after a combination suplex powerbomb. After that, Stacks Lorenzo fell off the top rope in an awkward spot. A series of dives onto bodies outside the ring culminated in Osiris diving onto the rest of the field. Saquon Shugars appeared in the crowd as a distraction, and, for some reason, OTM and Birthright brawled to the back. Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux picked up the pinfall victory. The team will get their Tag Team Championship match next week.

A vignette aired in which Jaida Parker admitted that Nattie was in her head. Parker said she should be thanking her for making her more relevant than she has been in years. She concluded by saying she would put Nattie down sometime soon.

Saquon Shugars was interviewed backstage, saying that he was playing chess while Darkstate was playing Hungry Hippos. Shugars said he wanted to find some friends, even though he didn’t have any backstage.

Tank Ledger vs. Keanu Carver

The next match saw Tank Ledger attempt to avenge Hank after Keanu Carver threw Hank through tables at the Great American Bash BBQ. Tank took control early on, knocking Carver to the mat, only for Carver to mount a comeback and take firm control. Tank fought from underneath, but Carver finished Tank off with a dropkick and a modified Alabama Slam.

A Naraku vignette aired, with him addressing Tony D’Angelo, telling him there was more pain in his future and Tony had no idea what he is capable of. He finished the video off with a ridiculous, evil laugh.

Kam Hendrix and Tate Wilder were watching the video backstage, and Wilder said he was going to take a shot at Naraku next week. Kam said he was focused on Mason Rook, who promptly entered the room. Rook asked why Kam was telling everyone that he put him on the shelf. Kam got scared and left, calling Wilder a traitor.

Nattie was backstage with her crew and wanted the girls to go out with Layla Diggs, but she declined. Nattie said she would let that slide but wanted the girls out at ringside for her title match.

NXT Women’s North American Championship #1 Contender’s Match

Next, Lizzy Rain, Thea Hail, Izzi Dame, and Layla Diggs squared off in a #1 Contender’s Match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Early on, Layla Diggs nearly picked up the win with a double pin attempt on Thea Hail and Lizzy Rain. All four women exchanged control of the match, with Diggs hitting a dive to the outside, followed by a Thea Hail no-look backward dive onto the rest of the field. After a commercial break, Hail and Rain nearly picked up pinfalls simultaneously, but both other women kicked out. The pinfall attempts came fast and furious from there, with each competitor nearly scoring the victory. Thea Hail caught Layla Diggs in the Kimura Lock, but Diggs escaped before being thrust into the ringpost. Ultimately, Dame and Rain spilled to the outside, allowing Layla Diggs to pick up the win after a Moonsault off the top rope onto Hail. Diggs goes on to face Zaria for the title next week.

A Nikki Blackheart vignette aired where she revealed her new name to be Reina Volcan.

Tavion Heights cut an in-ring promo, expressing jealousy of Myles Borne’s success. Heights wanted to apologize to Myles, but this brought out The Vanity Project, who said Tavion “fumbled the bag” and that he would never have beaten Jackson Drake without Myles’ help. This led to a three-on-one beatdown until Myles Borne appeared and the two partners fought off Vanity Project before hugging it out.

Backstage, Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno were talking when Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux entered. Moreno congratulated them, and Noam Dar said they needed time to get to the NXT titles. Legacy & DVD argued about whose name should be first when they win the titles next week.

Shiloh Hill vs. Niko Vance

Next, Shiloh Hill took on Niko Vance with Izzi Dame ringside. Hill took a Tilt-a-whirl slam as the bell rang, and Hill nearly had an easy victory. Vance took control and hit a diving headbutt off the top for a near fall. Niko followed that up with an X-Factor, but Hill kicked out again. At some point, Hill’s tooth came out, and Tristan Angels appeared, taking it and distracting Hill. Niko Vance hit X Marks the Spot for the win. After the match, Hill chased Angels to the back, and Shawn Spears appeared and attacked Vance from behind with a chair.

NXT Women’s Championship

The main event of the show was Kendal Grey defending her NXT Championship against Nattie. The match began on the mat with both women attempting to prove themselves the better technical wrestler. The action intensified from there, and Grey caught Nattie with the Ankle Lock, but Nattie escaped. Karmen Petrovic and Nikita Lyons distracted Grey on the outside, allowing Nattie to take control.

Wren Sinclair attacked Petrovic and Lyons, but was quickly overpowered. This brought out Lola Vice, and all four women fought to the back, leaving just the two match competitors in the ring. The action swung back and forth from there, with Kendal reversing a Sharpshooter attempt into a roll-up near-fall. Grey went for a missile dropkick off the top rope but was caught in the Sharpshooter. After a back-and-forth of pinfall attempts, Nattie got hit with Shades of Grey for the win.

After the match, Jaida Parker got into Nattie’s face and took out Petrovic and Lyons. Back in the ring, Kendal Grey was surrounded by Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, and Kali Armstrong, all eyeing up her NXT title.
