AJ Styles’ son will make his GCW debut later this month.
19-year-old Avery Styles will appear for a pair of GCW events in a few weeks, it was announced on Wednesday evening. He’ll make his promotional debut as part of “The Top Play” on July 31 from The Admiral in Omaha, Nebraska. A day later, he’ll return for the company’s “Rude Awakening” event at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Avery only made his in-ring debut just recently, working an independent show in Georgia. Clips emerging from the event saw Avery hit his father’s Styles Clash finisher during a post-match segment.
While AJ retired from competition earlier this year after losing a match to Gunther at the Royal Rumble, he has never ruled out coming back for one last match. An instance he sees as a possible return, he noted in an interview once, is the opportunity to tag with his son.
“What if my son wrestles?” AJ said in February. “The opportunity to tag with him once? You never know. There will be a time that the gloves will never go back on, and it may be now, but we’ll see.”
