AAA Verano De Escándalo Night 3 Results: Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano set, Flammer retains, Damián 666 rejoins Los Perros del Mal

Dominik Mysterio will defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano in the main event of TripleMania 34.

The title match was confirmed during the final week of the promotion’s Verano de Escándalo event.

The current champion sat down for an interview with Andrea Bazartes, complete with a cameo appearance from his on-screen partner Liv Morgan.

Saturday’s episode also saw El Fiscal qualify for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship match, Damián 666 rejoin Perros del Mal, and Flammer retain the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

The show was taped on July 25 at Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Psycho Clown vs. Cruz Del Toro vs. El Fiscal

El Fiscal secured the third place in the TripleMania Latin American Championship match after a masked attacker removed Psycho Clown from the equation.

Psycho and Fiscal initially combined to send Cruz outside before turning on each other. Cruz later returned with a dive onto both opponents and continued to break up potential falls.

Psycho delivered a Psycho Driver to Cruz on the apron before taking Fiscal into the ringside area.

A man wearing overalls and a mask then appeared behind Psycho, dragged him over the barricade and drove him into it. The attacker removed Psycho’s mask before chokeslamming him onto the ringside chairs.

With Psycho out of the match, Cruz attempted a hurricanrana from the ropes. Fiscal countered by driving him face-first to the mat and followed with a splash for the pin.

Fiscal now joins La Parka and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in the four-way match for the vacant championship.

Jack Cartwheel vs. Noisy Boy

Cartwheel and Noisy Boy opened with a lengthy sequence of counters and evasions before Noisy Boy finally slowed his opponent with a springboard cutter.

Noisy Boy then targeted Cartwheel’s arm and later connected with a super hurricanrana that sent him across the ring.

Cartwheel recovered with knees and a crucifix driver before knocking Noisy Boy from the ropes. He followed with a dive to the floor and a twisting moonsault inside the ring for the victory.

Perros del Mal attack, Damián 666 returns

Karmen Petrovic appeared after the match before Perros del Mal surrounded the ring.

The group attacked Noisy Boy and then overwhelmed Cartwheel. Petrovic finished the attack with the Petrofier while the other members restrained him.

Daga took the microphone and said Perros del Mal had returned because AAA’s roster was weak. He then introduced original group member Damián 666.

Damián entered carrying a kendo stick and received a Perros del Mal shirt from Daga. He accepted the invitation to rejoin the group and repeated its familiar message that God forgives, but the Dogs do not.

Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano will main event TripleMania

On commentary, Cory Graves confirmed that Mysterio will defend the Mega Championship against El Grande Americano in the main event of TripleMania 34.

The event takes place over two nights on September 11 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and September 13 at Arena CDMX.

The specific night for the title match has not been announced.

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio sat down with Andrea Bazarte and explained his recent betrayal of El Grande Americano.

Mysterio said Americano had questioned whether he would support him against Perros del Mal, which convinced Dominik that he could not be trusted.

He added that his time away from AAA had allowed Americano to become a hero in Mexico, but promised to destroy him at TripleMania and insisted Americano would always be second to him.

Bazarte also asked Mysterio about his alliance with Dorian Roldán. Dominik said he resented Rey Mysterio being appointed general manager over Roldán and said that the two could relate over having disappointing parents.

Liv Morgan then unexpectedly entered the interview area. Mysterio immediately left with the Women’s World Champion, bringing the segment to an end.

Flammer vs. Lady Shani vs. La Catalina

Flammer retained the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Lady Shani and La Catalina in the main event.

Shani and Catalina initially worked together against the champion, hitting simultaneous attacks before each attempted a cover.

Flammer moved outside, allowing Shani and Catalina to fight before the champion re-entered. All three exchanged control, with Shani hitting a headscissors into a flapjack and Flammer responding with a double stomp.

Catalina later delivered a Gory Special that drove Flammer onto Shani and covered both opponents, but neither fall reached three.

Shani and Catalina continued exchanging near falls before Catalina caught Flammer with a spear outside.

Back inside, Shani hit Catalina with a lungblower for two. Catalina answered with a running knee, but Flammer shoved her from the ring and immediately covered Shani to retain the championship.

Flammer entered the match having held the title for more than 1,000 days, and her reign continued as the three-week Verano de Escándalo series concluded.
