The POST Wrestling Café heads into September with a full slate of shows, including shows covering CMLL & AAA’s big cards, two editions of Rewind-A-Wai and a deep dive into Barry Darsow.
Rewind-A-Wai will feature a look back at WWF In Your House: Final Four from 1997, featuring Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker vs. Vader vs. Steve Austin for the vacant title after Shawn Michaels relinquished it. Later in the month, Rewind-A-Wai will present a second show reviewing the WWF Slammy Awards from March 1996 on the night before WrestleMania 12 in Anaheim, California.
POST Wrestling will have several Lucha-themed shows with coverage of both nights of AAA’s TripleMania 34 from Las Vegas & Mexico City. September 11 sees Rey Mysterio take on Omos, and September 13 is headlined by Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano for the Mega Championship. The next weekend is CMLL’s 93rd Anniversary card at Arena México with Último Guerrero & Templario vs. Mistico & Averno vs. Dragon Rojo Jr. & Barbaro Cavernario vs. Star Jr. & Zandokan Jr., and the winning team squaring off in as Aspuesta match.
Book Club returns at the end of the month with John Pollock & Neal Flanagan covering Sickles, Studs & Stolen Cars: The Many Faces of Barry Darsow, which was recently released and has received good reviews for an interesting career full of many different character changes.
