Ari Emanuel recently claimed that TKO will “never” be sold to a large media company like Paramount or Amazon.

The TKO CEO and executive chairman appeared on “The Town with Matt Belloni” to promote his book, “Roll the Calls.” Belloni, who clarified that while WME represents Puck, he is not a client of theirs, discussed with Emanuel his view on the business of Hollywood and sports, as well as his association, or lack thereof (by Emanuel’s claim), with politics, specifically Donald Trump. Vince McMahon and WWE were discussed in the interview.

During a lightning round of questions, Belloni asked, “Who is the ideal buyer for TKO?” Emanuel responded, “TKO.” He questioned why TKO would ever be for sale before explaining his answer.

… With AI, there’s going to be more free time than ever. People — if we grow 3% in GDP, we’re going to have more money than we ever had with AI. In my opinion, I agree with that — take (away) all the bad things that can happen. You’re sitting in a situation that there’s going to be more time for people for people to consume entertainment or be social animals, go out, go to sporting events, consume sports. Sports int he greatest reality show of all time. Owning sports assets — now people are trying to own teams — we own four leagues. It’s an incredible asset. The value is only going up and to the right. Egon Durban, myself, there’s no chance that is happening. Zero.

Emanuel claimed he doesn’t represent David Ellison anymore when asked about his role in selling UFC’s media rights to Paramount. He told Belloni that he would have to ask Ellison whether he’s made money on the deal but noted that he’ll have a bigger audience after the WBD merger and with Pluto TV.
