The cause of death of Benjamin Satterley, known professionally as PAC, has been determined as bronchial asthma.

Edward Lewis, senior sports reporter for the California Post, first reported the determination on Friday. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Satterley’s death as natural following its investigation.

TMZ subsequently confirmed the reporting.

No additional medical details surrounding the determination have been made public.

Bronchial asthma is a chronic condition in which inflammation and tightening of the airways can restrict breathing. The National Institutes of Health notes that a severe attack can narrow the airways enough to become life-threatening.

Satterley died on September 27, less than 24 hours after wrestling Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at All Out in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

As detailed in John Pollock’s obituary, Satterley was found unresponsive in a vehicle outside a restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois. Emergency services responded and he was pronounced dead at 4.08 pm local time.

Authorities said shortly afterward that there were no indications of trauma or foul play and that his death did not appear suspicious. An autopsy was performed, with the cause and manner of death remaining pending while additional testing was completed.

Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Satterley began wrestling in 2004 and became closely associated with Dragon Gate, where he held multiple championships and established a record 447-day reign as Open the Brave Gate Champion.

He signed with WWE in 2012 and performed as Adrian Neville and later Neville. His accomplishments included the NXT Championship, two NXT Tag Team Championship reigns and two runs as WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

After returning to Dragon Gate and winning the Open the Dream Gate Championship, Satterley joined AEW in 2019. He became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion, later renamed the International Championship, and also held the AEW World Trios Championship as part of Death Triangle.

His final match was the September 26 loss to Andrade at All Out. Satterley also appeared later that night during the AEW World Championship main event between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley.
