The Don Callis Family emerged on top following nearly 50 minutes of brutal Blood & Guts action on Wednesday night.
Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, Jake Doyle, Mark Davis, Kevin Knight and Wardlow won this week against the babyface squad of Darby Allin, Steven Borden, Adam Copeland, The Young Bucks and Will Ospreay, closing out this year’s Blood & Guts Dynamite special.
Late in the match, the Don Callis Family had many of the babyface team’s wrestlers in trouble. A hurt Allin was on top of the cage with Wardlow, numerous in the ring were stuck in submission holds, and Fletcher wielded a sharp screwdriver on Ospreay.
Copeland, who was being choked with a chain against a cage wall, was told to verbally submit or else Ospreay would have a screwdriver driven into his head. The veteran talent decided to call it quits, ending the match.
After the win, Allin was tossed off the top of the towering cage, sending him through a quartet of tables at ringside. He was being checked on by AEW officials as the show went off air.
The victory sends a massive message, as Fletcher emerged victorious over Ospreay just under two weeks before they meet in the main event of Full Gear for the AEW World Championship.
Earlier in the night, the babyface side of the women’s match was able to prevail.
