The babyface side of this year’s AEW women’s Blood & Guts match emerged victorious on Wednesday night.

Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Alex Windsor, Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata emerged victorious in Jacksonville, Florida, defeating the heel team of Megan Bayne, Lena Kross, Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Persephone after 45 minutes of action.

It was the Wrathlander duo who were able to score the finish, applying a double-team submission to Hart. While Cameron locked in a single-leg crab, Statlander wrapped barbed wire around the mouth of Hart, causing a verbal submission to end the bout.

A major storyline in the match was whether Wrathlander and the Brawling Birds could co-exist, as the teams are scheduled to face off at Full Gear in just under two weeks for the brand’s women’s tag titles. While the teams had moments of struggle, they were able to work together in the end.

The bout was, as expected, quite bloody and full of plunder. Weapons involved included a light tube from Blue, a guitar from Cameron (given to her by Jeff Jarrett), Aminata’s TBS title wrapped in barbed wire, pliers from Persephone via Britt Baker, beer bottles brought in by Hayter, the top of a trash can from Nightingale, and more.
