Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzales unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on NXT. Referee Aja Smith was the official for the match and when she was taken out, Adam Pearce made his way to the ring along with a back-up referee. That led to Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler retaining the Women’s Tag Titles. Footage was shown of Pearce explaining what happened to William Regal and following that footage being shown, Regal said he will make an announcement next week that will change the landscape of NXT.
