Super Junior Tag League takes place from Aug. 7-17, teams announced

NJPW will hold its Super Junior Tag League tournament over several of the Summer Struggle events in August.

There will be six teams battling in a round-robin format consisting of IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato, SHO & YOH, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and Gedo & Dick Togo.

The tournament will take place over ten days between August 7-17. The team with the most points after the round-robin matches will be declared the winner with tiebreakers in place, and a playoff match if necessary.

The first night of the tournament takes place from Korakuen Hall and will feature:
*Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask vs. Dick Togo & Gedo
*El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato
*El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori vs. SHO & YOH

Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) have won the previous two Tag League tournaments in 2018 and 2019, there was no tournament in 2020.
