Rev Pro Live at the Cockpit 40: ZSJ retains British heavyweight title

A report on Sunday's Rev Pro Live at the Cockpit event featuring Zack Sabre Jr. vs. James Mason for the British heavyweight title and PAC vs. El Phantasmo.

Event: Revolution Pro Live at the Cockpit 40
Venue: The Cockpit Theatre, London
Submitted by: Steve Harris

Rev Pro promoter Andy Quildan opened the show by announcing the new 2019 Contenders division. Based on the Young Lions system, the Contenders wear simple black ring gear and will open the show.

Contenders Division match
Gabriel Kidd over Brendan White

Michael Oku came out and demanded Andy Quildan explain why he wasn’t a part of the Contenders Division. Quildan informed him that the reason is that he is now a member of the main roster, and would be facing Cruiserweight Champion David Starr later in the show.

Sha Samuels over Kurtis Chapman

The NIC (Oisin Delaney and Charlie Carter) over The Velocities (Jude London and Paris de Silva)

A-Kid over Josh Bodom
Sha Samuels returned to help beat A-Kid down after the match, but Dan Magee made the save before challenging Samuels to a streetfight at the next Cockpit show.

David Starr over Michael Oku

M K McKinnon over AJ Istria

PAC over El Phantasmo
As they squared up after the match David Starr attacked ELP from behind. STARR set up a ladder on top of him and cut a promo from the top of it ahead of their championship ladder match in May.

British Heavyweight Championship
Zack Sabre Jr over James Mason to retain

I can confirm it will be Zack Sabre Jr defending against Hiroshi Tanahashi at MSG, and not James Mason.
