New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that Will Ospreay will miss Monday’s G1 Climax show due to a neck injury.

Ospreay is not suffering from any skeletal or nervous issues. His status for the next G1 Climax event on Thursday July 18 will be determined after Ospreay undergoes thorough medical evaluation.

Ospreay was set to tag with Yota Tsuji and Yuya Uemura against Kota Ibushi, Jushin Thunder Liger & Shota Umino. The new match will feature Umino and Tsuji facing Ibushi and Liger.

Ospreay wrote:

Sorry I couldn’t make it out there guys. I’m in a huge amount of pain right now but New Japan is giving me all the best treatment and taking great care of my health. I’ll do my best to continue the G1.

Ospreay is part of the A Block and is currently 1-1 with two points following a loss to Lance Archer and defeating Sanada on Sunday’s show in Tokyo. His next tournament match is scheduled for Thursday’s show at Korakuen Hall against Kota Ibushi.
