The working relationship between Ring of Honor and the National Wrestling Alliance will not be continuing, effective immediately.

It was first reported by Mike Johnson at PWinsider.com that the two sides parted on amicable terms.

We were able to confirm the story, which will result in the removal of Nick Aldis from next month’s Summer Supercard event at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto over SummerSlam weekend. The card will feature talent from ROH, CMLL, and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The two sides had been working together with frequent appearances by Aldis on Ring of Honor’s programming and in turn, ROH sending talent for the NWA’s Crockett Cup event earlier this year. The tournament was won by Ring of Honor performers PCO & Brody King, who are the current NWA tag champions.

In a coincidence, Billy Corgan will be performing with The Smashing Pumpkins in Toronto several days later on Tuesday, August 13th at the Budweiser Stage on the same night SmackDown Live will be taking place in the city.
