World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed our report from earlier this month a two-night draft will take place in October.

The draft will begin on Friday, October 11th edition of SmackDown from Las Vegas, Nevada and continue Monday, October 14th on Raw from Denver, Colorado.

SmackDown launches on Fox the week prior, which is a loaded show involving numerous stars from the past with the draft serving as the week two follow up.

The goal is to separate the rosters after months of crossover with the implementation of the “Wild Card” rule this past spring to address declining viewership.

In the release, the company added that Fox and NBC Universal personalities will be incorporated to announce select draft picks.
