The landscape of professional wrestling is about to change dramatically as we enter October with one of the most newsworthy periods in recent memory.
This week is the calm before the storm, although there is plenty to absorb this week before the introduction of AEW to the weekly diet and SmackDown’s move to Fox.
Ahead of all the big changes, Wai Ting and I will be announcing how POST Wrestling will be covering the shows with our new schedule. All the information will be provided on tonight’s edition of Rewind-A-Raw.
One show that will not be remaining as a weekly feature is The Double Shot, which wraps up this Wednesday night. When Wai and I began this show, it was simply to cover a few extra items that didn’t fit into our existing shows. This quickly became one of my favorite shows to record and gave us a reason to seek out lots of interesting stuff and have an outlet to discuss it. We will discuss this tonight, but we will not be abandoning this format entirely.
Braden Herrington and Davie Portman had a monumental week as they launched their own Patreon for bonus content that will range from retro reviews of NXT beginning 2013, movies, and discussing their own unique story. Braden & Davie will continue with their weekly upNXT show here at POST Wrestling and that will continue as a free offering. These are two of the hardest working individuals you will find and we’re very happy about the early success they have had since launching on Patreon last week.
On the Café Hangout this Thursday, Wai and I will be discussing NXT’s second week on the USA Network and will be taking lots of phone calls ahead of the forthcoming week.
On Friday, Rewind-A-Wai will be covering “The Big Event” from the WWF’s show at Exhibition Stadium in August 1986 headlined by Hulk Hogan and Paul Orndorff. On that show, we will be joined by Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski, who attended that card. This show will be available for members of the POST Wrestling Café.
Later that night, Mike Murray joins me as we review Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view and the week will close out with Nate Milton’s return for the latest installment of The Rocky Maivia Picture Show covering “Get Smart”.
