Guerrillas of Destiny regain the IWGP tag titles in Atlanta

On the final night of New Japan’s New Beginning USA tour, they had their lone title match on the U.S. shows resulting in a title change on Saturday night.

In the main event at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, the Guerrillas of Destiny defeated Juice Robinson & David Finlay to regain the IWGP tag titles after Tama Tonga pinned Finlay.

It is the sixth title reign for Tonga and Tanga Loa, who previously lost the titles to Finlay & Robinson last month at Wrestle Kingdom at the Tokyo Dome after FinJuice had won the World Tag League in December to earn the title match.

The title change comes after a heavy tease on the New Year Dash card where Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kota Ibushi issued a challenge to Robinson & Finlay for the IWGP tag titles after an eight-man tag where the four teamed together.

The Guerrillas of Destiny first won the IWGP tag titles back in April 2016 and have been one of the cornerstone teams of the division for the past four years.

Here are the full results from Saturday’s show in Atlanta:
*Satoshi Kojima & Yuji Nagata over Alex Coughlin & Ren Narita
*Yoshi-Hashi over Misterioso
*Colt Cabana & Toru Yano over Yujiro & Jado
*Chase Owens over Rocky Romero
*Hiroshi Tanahashi & The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express over TJP, Clark Connors & Alex Zayne
*Jeff Cobb over Lance Archer
*The Guerrillas of Destiny over Juice Robinson & David Finlay to win the IWGP tag titles
