This week at POST Wrestling, we have a lot of shows in store and hope you will be checking them out,
First, if you missed them – here are some highlights from the past week:
*An excellent rundown of wXw’s 16 Carat Gold tournament on the British Wrestling Experience through Benno’s live experience and Jamesie’s viewing at home including a nuanced discussion of the David Starr story
**On the Café Hangout, Wai Ting spoke with professional counselor Ahmad Butt on the effects the pandemic is having on people’s mental health and some ideas to combat that anxiety
**Highspots owner Michael Bochicchio provided an update after the cancellation of WrestleCon and losing on WrestleMania Weekend with a look at how this affects the independent industry
**Something new we tried with a quick newscast on Tuesday covering the major stories that day including WrestleMania’s re-location to the Performance Center
This week, I’m looking forward to speaking with Jeff Marek of Rogers Sportsnet as the two of us discuss the Chris Benoit episode of Dark Side of the Ring. Marek was a close friend to Benoit and will be able to provide an insight that only a few would be able to.
On Wednesday, we will continue our Rewind-A-Dynamite and upNXT shows while the company’s continue producing shows during this time period.
Then, on Sunday it’s the return of Alan Counihan a.k.a. Alan4L with WH Park on this week’s Thunderstruck. The match of the week is Jushin Thunder Liger teaming with Minoru Tanaka to take on Tsuyoshi Kikuchi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru from April 7, 2002, for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
Members of the POST Wrestling Café will have access to Tuesday’s monthly ASK-A-WAI mailbag show, Rewind-A-SmackDown, and another edition of The Double Shot next Sunday.
