Wai Ting and John Pollock review the twentieth Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).

They discuss director Peyton Reed’s sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man as it juggles its role as both a follow-up to Captain America: Civil War and a prelude to Avengers: Endgame, the effectiveness of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang as a relatable hero, Michael Douglas admitting he’s never seen Civil War, and the overuse of “quantum” pseudo-science throughout the film.

Synopsis from Google:

Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.
