AEW and NXT presented big shows on Wednesday night with Dynamite going live from Jacksonville and NXT presenting two title matches from Full Sail University.

Dynamite came out on top with 732,000 viewers on TNT and their highest viewership mark since March 25th, which was up 5.5% from last week.

NXT countered with a 4% increase and 663,000 viewers, which was their highest in two weeks.

In the 18-49 demographic, AEW outpaced NXT with 0.28 to 0.18 placing AEW in 12th place among all cable programming and NXT 33rd. It was an improvement for NXT, which didn’t crack the top 50 cable programs last week.

The big difference for AEW was a jump among its male viewership with 18-49s up 18% and 12-34 up an enormous 54% from last week. However, female viewership fell with 18-49s down 19% and 12-34 decreasing 27%.

Among the key demos, NXT only outdid AEW with adults over 50 while the two were even with females 12-34 as each posted a 0.08.

AEW presented a live show from Daily’s Place highlighted by Matt Hardy’s first match with the company teaming with Kenny Omega against Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevera in a Street Fight. NXT featured Adam Cole defending the NXT title against Velveteen Dream and Charlotte Flair vs. Io Shirai for the women’s title as the top matches advertised.

NXT’s show was taped last week, however, there was no indication of any results getting out and would be a non-factor.
