The first match for WWE’s SummerSlam event is official following Monday’s episode of Raw.

During the show, Andrade & Angel Garza won the #1 contender’s match over Ricochet & Cedric Alexander and the Viking Raiders to set up a Raw tag title match with The Street Profits.

The match featured Ivar taking out Alexander, Ricochet, and partner Erik on the floor with a somersault dive off the turnbuckle. Garza followed with the Wing Clipper and pinned Alexander for the victory.

After the match, Andrade & Garza attacked The Street Profits, who were ringside on commentary during the match.

The Raw tag title match between the two teams is the first match officially announced for the card that takes place Sunday, August 23rd. WWE has yet to confirm the location of the event. It was originally slated for the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts but the company confirmed last week that due to the ongoing pandemic it would not take place in Boston:

In coordination with our local partners, government officials and TD Garden, WWE’s SummerSlam and related events will no longer take place in Boston. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. We are grateful to the city of Boston for their longstanding partnership and look forward to holding WWE events at TD Garden in the future.
