Following WWE’s SummerSlam weekend, it’s another busy week within professional wrestling including WWE coming back seven days later with its Payback pay-per-view.
The week kicks off with Rewind-A-Raw tonight as Wai Ting and I discuss the post-SummerSlam edition of Raw, the introduction of Keith Lee, and the quick turnaround to build a card for Sunday’s Payback show. We will also discuss all the news stories and take your feedback.
Tuesday is our monthly ASK-A-WAI Mailbag Show where we dedicate two hours to questions submitted on the POST Wrestling Forum covering the widest range of topics and often get asked about many topics we don’t get on the regular shows. This show is exclusive to members of the POST Wrestling Café.
Due to AEW Dynamite airing on Thursday night, our schedule will feature upNXT with Braden Herrington & Davie Portman on Wednesday followed by Rewind-A-Dynamite on Thursday night covering the two shows.
Wai and I will be LIVE with Rewind-A-SmackDown Friday night at 10:15 pm Eastern with a review of SmackDown and a WWE Payback preview heading into Sunday.
This weekend, we will have several big shows beginning with an NJPW Summer Struggle POST Show exclusively for members of the POST Wrestling Café as we review New Japan’s card from Jingu Stadium featuring the rematch between EVIL and Tetsuya Naito for the Double Championship and the crowning of the KOPW champion.
Plus, WH Park will have a special bonus edition of Cruel Summer – his popular series documenting every G1 Climax final going back to 1991. For this bonus show, he is completing the series by reviewing last year’s final between Kota Ibushi and Jay White. For this show, WH will be joined by Stephanie Chase from Digital Spy.
Finally, we will have our WWE Payback POST Show on Sunday immediately following the show and we will be LIVE for Double Double, Iced Capp & Espresso members of the POST Wrestling Café.
