AEW draws 850,000 viewers, NXT brings in 638,000 on 11/18

All Elite Wrestling outdrew NXT by 200,000 viewers for their respective 11/18 shows.

The Wednesday night head-to-head between All Elite Wrestling and NXT continued on 11/18 and AEW brought in 850,000 viewers for their program and NXT drew 638,000 viewers for their show, per Showbuzz Daily.

Both shows were on while the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft was on ESPN. In the 18-49 demo, AEW did a 0.37 while NXT did a 0.14. NXT did not chart in the top 50 shows of the night and AEW was slotted at number seven. Compared to last week’s shows, AEW drew 764,000 viewers and NXT drew 632,000.

NXT was headlined by Io Shirai defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley. Following that segment, NXT Champion Finn Balor made his return to the show after suffering a broken jaw at TakeOver 31. This ultimately led to Undisputed ERA and The Brand (Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan) brawling to set up their match at TakeOver: WarGames on 12/6.

AEW’s program featured the build to Kenny Omega versus Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship on the 12/2 Dynamite. Moxley also made the announcement on the show that he and his wife Renee Paquette are expecting their first child. AEW was closed out by Will Hobbs aligning himself with Team Taz (Brian Cage, Ricky Starks & Taz).
