WWE commentator Tom Phillips stated on the 1/11 episode of RAW that Kofi Kingston suffered a broken jaw which is why he was not on the show along with his partner Xavier Woods. Woods lost a singles match to RETRIBUTION’s T-BAR.

Kofi Kingston recently hosted an Instagram Live stream during-which he chatted with pro Rugby player Tendai Mitawarira. Before their conversation began, Kingston confirmed that he is dealing with a jaw injury and that only one side of his mouth was closing.

So first and foremost I gotta apologize because I feel like I’m talking out the side of my mouth and I’m dealing with like a jaw injury right now and my mouth is only closing on one side, so if I sound kind of funny, that’s why. Ordinarily, I do a lot of imitations, impersonations and impressions, but I’m not doing that right now. I’m talking funny, trying to figure this situation out.

WWE stated that Kofi’s injury occurred while he and Woods were battling The Hurt Business over the past several weeks. Kingston last wrestled on the January 4th episode of RAW.
