Following the Royal Rumble, Friday Night SmackDown saw a minor dip in viewership while increasing in the key demographic.

Friday’s edition of the show featuring appearances from Edge and Bianca Belair after their Rumble wins, averaged 2,257,000 viewers and a 0.65 in the 18-49 demographic.

The weekly change was minimal with last week’s go-home show averaging 2,304,000 and a 0.62 but there was no notable post-Rumble bump for the program.

For the night, SmackDown finished second among network programs in the 18-49 demo behind a new episode of ABC’s Shark Tank and finished behind the show in the 18-34 demo with a 0.34 to Shark Tank’s 0.45.

SmackDown also went against the Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets game on ESPN that averaged 1,126,000 viewers and a 0.35 in the demo.

After six episodes in 2021, SmackDown is averaging 2,223,000 viewers and 0.61 in the 18-49 demo.
