Women’s Dusty Classic finals set for NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day

Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez are taking on Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon in the finals of the women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

The finals of the women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is set and the match is taking place at TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th. Last week on NXT, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez picked up a win to secure their spot in the finals and this week, Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon defeated Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae to earn their way into the finals.

The two teams will clash on Sunday to determine the first-ever winners of the women’s Dusty Classic and whomever emerges victorious will also get a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Those titles are currently in the possession of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

There are currently five matches scheduled for TakeOver: Vengeance Day. The finals of the men’s Dusty Classic which will be on the card is scheduled to be determined on tonight’s NXT. As of this writing, here’s the updated lineup:

  • NXT Women’s Championship — Triple Threat Match: Io Shirai (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Martinez
  • NXT Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Pete Dunne
  • NXT North American Championship: Johnny Gargano (c) vs. KUSHIDA
  • Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez vs. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon
  • Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) or Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher
