WWE has announced a new title match for the Fastlane event as the WWE women’s tag champions will defend their titles on Sunday, March 21st.

The information was released Thursday evening that champions Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler will defend the titles against Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair in a rematch from Elimination Chamber last month.

Jax & Baszler appeared on this week’s edition of NXT defending the titles against Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez. After the original referee was knocked out, a second ref was sent down by Adam Pearce to call the submission finish as Kai was locked in Baszler’s Kirifuda Clutch.

The tag title match is the first official match on the card for March 21st, a show that will be streamed on both the WWE Network and Peacock services for U.S. subscribers.

WWE has also announced that Banks will face Baszler on Friday Night SmackDown this week joining the previously announced steel cage match between Daniel Bryan and Jey Uso on the show. If Bryan wins, he will challenge Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Fastlane.

The women’s tag title match is a prelude to Banks defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Belair at WrestleMania 37, with the match officially announced on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
