Grayson Waller scored a pinfall victory over CM Punk in the main event of a Wednesday night edition of WWE NXT.
Waller and Punk settled their tension that had been built up since a backstage confrontation in August, with Waller defending his NXT Championship. Punk had two near falls over Waller and looked to finish him with the GTS. However, Kevin Owens, who had been escorted out of the Performance Center before the show, emerged and distracted Punk. That allowed Waller to roll up Punk and grab his tights to escape with a win.

Punk and Owens are slated for a match this Friday.
That wasn’t the only segment for Punk on NXT. He was part of a backstage segment with Shiloh Hill, who asked Punk to be his first opponent if he beat Waller, who interrupted them and antagonized Hill.
