Gino Medina vs. Rocky Romero

Romero starts the match with counters on Medina, but Medina shoulder tackles him down. Romero takes Medina down and works on his lower back and left arm, but Medina escapes. Romero hits a flying knee into his left arm until they start trading forearms. Medina hits a 540 kick for a 2 count, followed by punches and chops. Medina attacks Romero in the corner and kicks him in the back for a 2 count. They trade off punches and forearms until Romero dodges Medina causing him to go outside and receiving a dropkick from Romero. Back inside, they fight on the apron with Romero hitting a dropkick onto Medina who was on the ropes for a 2 count. Romero hits 3 clotheslines in the corner but runs into a boot for the 4th one for a two-count. Great closing sequence with Medina countering a bulldog with snake eyes, but runs into Romero’s boot, who hits a tornado DDT into a suplex right into an armbar for the submission victory.

Winner: Rocky Romero by submission at 8:58

Hammer Dick

Alicia Atout is backstage with Richard Holliday, who says the kids love him and reveals a mock poster of a rollercoaster ride that says ‘Muscle Mountain; Newest Ride, Longest Line’., Atout likes the sculpt of Holliday but says the ride itself looks like a hammer dick. Holliday says it’s a ‘hammer ride’, and changes the subject before leaving.

The Realest Family

We go to Los Parks representing Azteca Underground with the following message; ‘Salutations! I want all the people to realize that I don’t agree with Salina de la Renta or how she went against El Jefe last week. Salina if you’re listening: how many times have I taken you along for our victories, when YOU believed that I would not win… and then we won. We have walked together, and you have walked to a high-level thanks to the real family. I have won titles and you have profited from my family’s success. But the bad decisions are mounting. Remember when Alex Hammerstone hit me in my head? My cranium moaned to heaven as I turned in a daze. And what did I see? YOU telling the people that I was a dumbass! A DUMBASS?! I am no such thing! You should be grateful, Salina. Thanks to me you’re known in the US and Mexico. Respect! Now that El Jefe is constructing the new temple, he’s going to be soooo happy with all the fresh violence that’s going to happen, son. We are going to be stronger than ever! The only thing left to say is to prepare yourself for the consequences because this trio – the realest family – is not going to stop. If you fail El Jefe again, you will regret it, Salina. You’re going to regret it. I promise.’

Championship Committee

They announce that MLW has instituted a championship committee made up of the League’s matchmakers. And the goal of the championship committee is to ensure that the top competitors from around the world get their shot at the titles and give the fans the biggest matches featuring the best of the best.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 10

  • 07 – Mil Muertes
  • 06 – Low Ki
  • 05 – Richard Holliday
  • 04 – Mads Krugger
  • 03 – Lio Rush
  • 02 – Filthy Tom Lawlor

The Time is Rush Hour

Alicia Atout backstage with the MLW Middleweight Champion, Lio Rush, and asks him about Myron Reed’s rematch challenge. Rush says he bet Reed would want that, who wouldn’t after being embarrassed like him, but it’s not going to happen. He asks her what time it is, she says it’s around 6ish, but he says no, it says Rush Hour and the championship is staying on his shoulder.

King Mo (w/ Dan Lambert) vs. Robert Martyr

Right away, Mo takes Martyr down and powerbombs him down from a mount position. Mo starts shoulder tackling Martyr in the corner, followed by a spinning toss. Mo puts on a cravat and Martyr immediately taps out.

Winner: King Mo by referee stoppage at 1:17

Dan Lambert gets on the mic and says it’s beneath him to talk about some decision by a 15-year-old that an idiot made a referee. Especially when that decision involved a submission maneuver when the closest that little pimple-faced prick ever got to a real fight was playing Street Fighter on his mother’s Xbox machine in her basement. Lambert says Mo has never tapped in his career, and he’s not about to start in MLW to some piss ant like Low Ki. Mo gets on the mic and says in ATT we don’t tap and when he sees Low Ki he will break him in half.

Opportunities Abound

Cameras outside caught up with Salina de la Renta and asked her what’s going on with her and Azteca Underground and that El Jefe doesn’t seem too happy with her. Salina gets a phone call right away and she says she understands and an opportunity sounds great and she’ll be there next week as Azteca Underground’s representative notices the camera and pushes it away.

Filthy Challenge

Tom Lawlor backstage and says the Von Erichs can’t keep their mouth shut. He’s been called a liar, jealous, a coward but none of those could be further from the truth except for maybe calling the Von Erich’s good friends. Remember he’s the one who brought them to MLW and knows what they’re truly about. Lawlor then calls out Marshall Von Erich to face him one on one or will he hide behind an injury.

Next Season – With Crowds

Alicia Atout with a video conference interview with the MLW CEO, Court Bauer. Bauer says he’s excited about the new VICE TV deal coming this Spring, and that they won’t be the best-kept secret anymore with their new deal and they are working on some other things that he can’t talk about just yet. Atout asks about the rest of the calendar year and upcoming MLW events. Bauer says they will close out this season of MLW with Lio Rush defending the Middleweight Championship against Myron Reed on May 5th. Atout asks more about the ‘close the season’ line, and Bauer says they will give the athletes some time to rest and get ready for the next season and when they come back they will come back with crowds on July 10th in Philadelphia, PA.

Philly Massacre

Josef Samael cuts in with a message and says Court Bauer is so full of hope and delusion and says it’s almost been a year since he begged in his office but he left the backdoor open and can walk back through whenever he wishes and this League could be his at the snap of his fingers. He’s losing his grip just like Hammerstone and tells them to celebrate his new deals because he will and on July 10th, all the fans filled in the arena can personally witness the massacre that awaits from CONTRA Unit.

Marshall Von Erich backstage on a crutch saying he’s been wanting to get revenge on Tom Lawlor for a long time and remembers everything he’s done to him and his family. He throws down the crutch and says he’s going to put the claw on and squeeze his head and make him blackout and win the match, and he’ll see him next week.

Upcoming Fights

  • April 28th– Tom Lawlor vs. Marshall Von Erich
  • May 5th– MLW World Middleweight Championship – Lio Rush (c) vs. Myron Reed

Say It, Manifest It

Myron Reed is backstage in a locker room and thanks Calvin Tankman for inviting him there at his gym in Indianapolis. He’s been working every morning at 5 AM, and when he steps back in the ring with Lio Rush he’ll become champion again.

Bu Ku Dao vs. TJP

The match starts fast with TJP pushing Dao down, but Dao comes back with pin attempts, as they trade off headlocks. Dao reverses out of a surfboard and arm drags TJP to the outside. Back inside, TJP with multiple pin attempts and tends to get a bit impatient. TJP works on Dao’s arm and back with submissions and hits a backbreaker for a two count. TJP continues to punish Dao, but Dao comes back with a crossbody from the top for a 2 count. TJP counters with a powerbomb for a two count. Dao gets TJP on the outside and hits a tope. Back inside, Dao with a hot comeback but fails to get the cover after a running bulldog. TJP stops him with a dropkick and pin attempt but only gets a two. TJP goes for the Mamba Splash, but Dao stops him but TJP runs up and hits a superplex right into a submission but Dao breaks it with the ropes. TJP has Dao up but gets the referee knocked out as Dao goes for the pin attempt with no one to count it. TJP attempts to come back, goes to the top, but Dao knocks him down and hits a spinning DDT for the pin and the win.

Winner: Bu Ku Dao by pinfall at 13:38

Hammerstone Press Conference

With under a minute left, we go to the Press Conference and Hammerstone is sick with the questions in progress and says he’s tired of two heavyweight singles champions and challenges Jacob Fatu to what seems like a unification match as he ends the conference.
