July 4th is the date set for the launch of Atsushi Onita’s new “FMWE” promotion. Yahoo! Japan published a feature about the news and the first show will take place in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.
Onita held a press conference on his YouTube channel to discuss the launch of the promotion and provide additional details about the forthcoming show. Onita told Yahoo! Japan that the “E” in “FMWE” stands for explosion. Onita added that there is a demand to see that style of match in the United States and he hopes to deliver that.

Several months ago, Onita was invited to AEW to see Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley’s Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at Revolution. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented that from happening but Onita did appear on AEW programming via a video that he sent in.
