As the 6/18 episode of NJPW Strong came to an end, it was announced that in July, a tag team tournament will take place on the NJPW Strong program. A total of eight teams are scheduled for the tourney and coming back under the New Japan Pro-Wrestling banner for the first time since 2016 are The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson).

Gallows and Anderson will be taking on TJP and Clark Connors in the first round of Tag Team Turbulence. The Good Brothers departed New Japan in 2016 for WWE. Since being released from WWE in April of 2020, both Gallows and Anderson have openly stated that they’ve wanted to return to New Japan.
